This panel discussion will center on environmental justice and its intersectionalities with health, racism, and economic well-being. Our panelists and moderator are experts and climate justice leaders in the field.

More About the Panelists’ Bios:
Sara Chandler (she/her/hers) takes care of the Equity & Access program, which includes Elemental’s investment track to leverage climate-positive startups for opportunities for social equity. Sara creates local partnerships and supports project development by creating frameworks and tools that help operationalize equity to benefit startups and California‘s frontline communities at the same time.
Kerry Bowie (he/him/his) is Co-Founder, President, and Executive Director of Browning the Green Space which is a group of cross-sector leaders striving to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in clean energy and beyond. The nonprofit has a vision of a just energy transition and a threefold mission of creating jobs, building wealth, and reducing energy burden in communities of color.
Lindsey Butler (she/her/hers), Ph.D., M.Sc., serves as the Director of Climate and Health Resilience at Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts. She serves on the Boards of the Boston University Medical School Climate Group, the Boston University School of Public Health Doctoral Student Organization, and 500 Women Scientists Boston.
Nicole Wong (she/her/hers) is passionate about advancing racial and economic justice through policy advocacy that centers the needs and voices of low-income communities of color. As Climate Resilience Program Manager, she works closely with community-based organizations across California to advance more equitable state climate resilience initiatives.
