Bioluminescence in the Smokies: Nature's Light Show

Thursday, December 16, 7:00 - 8:30pm

Presented by Will Kuhn, PhD, Director of Science and Research at Discover Life in America

Discover Life in America (DLiA) is a non-profit partner of Great Smoky Mountains National Park that manages a massive inventory of the park's rich biodiversity. Join Dr. Kuhn of DLiA to explore the many bioluminescent organisms that live in the Smokies, including the park's famous fireflies. Learn about threats facing fireflies and what you can do to help fireflies in your own backyard.

Free of charge; registration is required. This lecture will be held virtually. A link and viewing instructions will be emailed after your registration is complete.
