Alpha Hacks, Target Alpha's upcoming hackathon, will offer students an opportunity to design and prototype FinTech projects. With an expected number of 300 participants, Alpha Hacks provides 2 venues of competition for students: the Developer Track and the Proposal Track. The Developer Track focuses on prototypes, software, applications, products, or creations that students create with the guidance of our available mentors to address a certain proposed issue or case study. The Proposal Track aims for students to create a plan or design to address a proposed global issue or case study. As an opportunity advertised to everyone from beginners to advanced hackers, we promote various awards and opportunities for students. Our hackathons support all levels of hackers with workshops on various software techniques and programming languages that benefit all students. Our workshops vary in difficulty to better accommodate different experience levels. To maintain the vision of Target Alpha, our entire hackathon will target providing essential financial literacy knowledge to students across the country with varied backgrounds. With several participant benefits like memberships to 1Password, Wolfram Alpha, and more, regardless of the actual competition, all participants walk away with access to amazing resources and memberships.
