In honour of black history month, the Afrogems youtube channel will be hosting a live webinar this Saturday, February 27, 1pm-2pm. They will first showcase a interview with Nigerian actress, Monalisa Chinda Coker and Khalidah Bello, Founder of Ògo Tàwa Inc. Non-profit Organization. In this interview, they discuss how the future of Nigeria is in the youth and how the new “gold” is in sparking art industry talent in the youth. Monalisa discusses teaching Nigeran youth new skills focused on the art industry. We then follow this interview with a live discussion, introducing 3 African-Canadian artists: (Ayo Ayodeji: painter/art writer/photographer, Kola Olawuniyi: photographer, Ehiko Odeh: painter) who speak about their art careers as African-Canadians artists and give their insights about Monalisa's interview. Join us via youtube or zoom to learn/discuss about an art career as a Black-Canadian.
