Children Are Sacred.

Orange Shirt Day is a day dedicated to honouring the resilience of residential school survivors and educating Canadians about the impacts colonial violence has on Indigenous children.

Join us on Wednesday, September 30th at 6:0 PM EST for Orange Shirt Day: Live with #RisingYouth is a livestream event that will bring together Kayla Rosteski-Merasty and Jade Roberts in conversation with residential school survivors and elders, featuring videos with alumni that showcase how #RisingYouth grants can be used to support Indigenous youth reclaiming education.

We wear orange to stand in solidarity with intergenerational residential school survivors. By participating in this day we commit to honouring the worth of Indigenous children. We commit to educating ourselves and standing against the ways Indigenous children have been harmed and continue to be harmed.
